Death toll, active cases continue to rise

Another COVID-related death was reported in Carroll County last week, bringing the number of those who have died from complications related to the novel coronavirus to 106. The additional death was accompanied by another jump in the number of active cases, with 77 reported Friday, June 24, by the Arkansas Department of Health, which reported 59 active cases on June 17.

Andrew Carlos Donahue Jr.

Andrew Carlos Donahue Jr. of Berryville, Arkansas was born April 7, 1933, in Bertis, Kentucky to A. Carlos Sr. and Lillie (Combs) Donahue. Carlos passed away June 16, 2022, in Berryville at the age of 89. Carlos drove a truck for 25 years, then he became a carpenter and built many beautiful homes until he retired. Carlos enjoyed spending time working in his vegetable garden, an avid fisherman going sometimes at 6:00 a.m. and back again at 9:00 p.m. Carlos is survived by his wife, Maria Rodriguez; children, Connie South, Pam Dillon, Dennis Donahue, Randy Donahue, Ricky Donahue, Kimberly Lawson, Carla Adams, Chad, Racheal, Tonya; thirty-two grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends.
