The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday.

Betty Lou Shirley, of Russellville, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 84 years old. She was born on June 27, 1939, in Berryville, Arkansas, to Carroll B. and Leora Kate (Cain) Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, Michael Shirley, and her son, Weston O. Shirley.
