Bobcats blast Decatur from start

The Berryville Bobcats didn’t waste any time taking full control of last Friday’s game against Decatur. Berryville running back Nay Blut returned the opening kickoff inside Decatur territory, then took a shovel pass from quarterback Decimus Ruiz 39 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage to set the tone for the Bobcats’ 62-0 victory.

Dallas Brass to perform with BV bands

Berryville middle and high school band students will get a chance to learn from and perform with professional musicians next month when the Dallas Brass quintet visits the city in October. Berryville Bands director Doug Blevins said the group, founded in 1983, is one of America’s foremost musical ensembles, featuring a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion.
