BERRYVILLE -- It didn't take long for the Berryville Lady Bobcat volleyball team to dismantle the Gentry Lady Pioneers on Tuesday evening. The Berryville Bobcats' homecoming was filled with disappointment last year, thanks to the Gentry Pioneers. The Bobcats hope to return the favor Friday night by spoiling Gentry's homecoming. Since Sally Sue started coming to school, students at Berryville Intermediate School want to go to the principal's office. Sally Sue is the school's literacy dog and belongs to principal Lisa Geren. Report: Wasson's airpack was faulty

A mechanical failure is to blame for an incident in which a Eureka Springs firefighter was critically injured in an August house fire, according to an investigative report released by Eureka Springs Fire & EMS. Firefighter Rod Wasson was injured on Aug. 29 while battling a fire in a trailer on Grand Avenue. Initial reports indicated that Wasson's facemask or airpack regulator may have become dislodged during the incident, but the investigative report says Wasson's airpack failed...

BV board agrees to solicit bids for survey, drilling

Construction of the new Berryville Middle School is one step closer to getting underway. At a special called meeting Tuesday night, the Berryville School Board agreed to obtain bids for a topographical survey and core drilling of the school district's west campus. Superintendent Phil Clark estimated spending $45,000 in all, with $30,000 going to the topological survey and $15,000 to core drilling...
