BERRYVILLE -- The Berryville City Council Tuesday evening tabled a proposal submitted by Arvest Bank suggesting the city utilize its Arvest Visa Purchasing Card to streamline financial management. City Administrative Assistant Jay Lee explained to the council that Arvest had approached the city with the proposal. ES Council invokes emergency clause to approve new parking meters

EUREKA SPRINGS -- At a special meeting July 1, the Eureka Springs City Council voted to approve $30,000 for the purchase of new parking meters for two parking lots downtown previously served by automated pay stations. Police Chief Earl Hyatt said the main circuit boards of both automated pay stations downtown, in parking lots next to the Courthouse and next to the Lucky 13 Outdoor Cinema, have broken down recently.
