The Green Forest Lady Tigers were winners in coach Kristin Whetham’s debut, defeating Eureka Springs in three sets on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Green Forest won 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.
Junior Kinly Smith, a transfer from Berryville who was playing her first game for Green Forest, had seven aces, two kills, seven assists and five digs for the Lady Tigers. She served 15 consecutive points in the first set.
Sophomore Emerson DeMeyer added four aces, three kills and six digs for Green Forest.
The Lady Tigers hosted Valley Springs on Monday, Aug. 25. Green Forest will play at home again Thursday, Aug. 28, against Gravette.
