Berryville freshman Kaylyn Smith finished fifth in the girls’ 400-meter dash at the Class 4A state track and field championships on Tuesday, May 2, in Clarksville. Smith took seventh place in the girls triple jump.

The 2023 Champions Basketball Camp for boys and girls will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

She’s just a freshman, but that isn’t slowing Berryville’s Kaylyn Smith down. Smith had a big day at the 4A-1 district track and field championships on Monday, April 24, at Gravette.

A good coach always looks for the positives in a loss. Green Forest girls soccer coach Ashley Wilson found a lot of them after the Lady Tigers’ 2-0 loss to Life Way Christian on Thursday, April 27.

The hits just keep on coming for Green Forest’s Lydia Russell. Competing on her home track, the Lady Tigers sophomore won four events at the 3A-1 district track and field championships on Wednesday, April 26, setting a pair of school records in the process.

The Berryville Bobcats missed the 2022 state soccer tournament after being upset in the second round of the district tournament. That disappointment made the Bobcats even more determined to get to the state tournament this spring and that determination paid off as Berryville defeated defending Class 4A state champion Farmington 3-2 in the regular- season finale on Monday, April 24, at Bobcat Stadium.
