Berryville shooters shine at regionals
This past weekend the Berryville Shooting Sports teams competed in the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports West Regional Tournament in Jacksonville. Juniors competed on Friday followed by Seniors on Saturday.

Eureka Springs schools were well represented in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Youth Shooting Sports Competition held April 28 and 29 in Jacksonville. This is Eureka Springs’ third year to compete and the district fielded two senior high teams and two junior high teams.

Smith shines for BHS girls
She’s just a freshman, but that isn’t slowing Berryville’s Kaylyn Smith down. Smith had a big day at the 4A-1 district track and field championships on Monday, April 24, at Gravette.

The hits just keep on coming for Green Forest’s Lydia Russell. Competing on her home track, the Lady Tigers sophomore won four events at the 3A-1 district track and field championships on Wednesday, April 26, setting a pair of school records in the process.

The Berryville Bobcats missed the 2022 state soccer tournament after being upset in the second round of the district tournament. That disappointment made the Bobcats even more determined to get to the state tournament this spring and that determination paid off as Berryville defeated defending Class 4A state champion Farmington 3-2 in the regular- season finale on Monday, April 24, at Bobcat Stadium.

The Green Forest Lady Tigers were two outs away from beating Berryville in a matchup of county rivals on Thursday, April 20. But two outs were two too many for Green Forest.
