Join the Berryville Library in celebrating Library Giving Day! This one-day fundraising event will occur on Tuesday, April 4, and encourages patrons and library lovers across the country to make a gift in support of their local library. Donations to the Berryville Library can be made online at berryvillelibrary. org/building. Gifts also can be dropped off or mailed to the library. All gifts received for Library Giving Day this year will be used to support the Berryville Library Building Project.

Thanks to the sponsorship of the Green Forest Chamber of Commerce, the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Green Forest on Thursday, March 30. The circus will be held at the Green Forest City Park located at 498 W.

Matinee meetings of the Eureka Springs City Advertising and Promotion Commission are no more. With little discussion, the CAPC voted 4-0 at its March 22 meeting at The Aud to return to a 6 p.m.

Plans for the expansion of Eureka Springs Hospital are well underway. At the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission’s regular monthly meeting on March 20 at The Aud, chair Kent Turner, gave an update, including the recent completion of the “35 percent design.” “We are in a position now where we can present in detail to planning, to HDC, to the city council and to financiers a vision of what the hospital — well, it’s more than a vision, it’s actually a very-detailed description of what the hospital renovation will indeed look like,” Turner said.

Long meetings aren’t a hallmark of the Berryville City Council, but last week’s regular meeting was especially brief. Meeting at City Hall on Tuesday, March 21, the council concluded its business in approximately two minutes and 36 seconds.
