SENIOR CENTER MENUS
The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is serv-d at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Teacher’s court date delayed
Arraignment for a Green Forest High School teacher who is charged with one felony count of internet stalking of a child was postponed last week at the request of his attorney. Dustin Don “Dusty” Lee, an English teacher at GFHS, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Feb.

Co-defendant refused to testify against Helm
A co-defendant’s refusal to testify against Jason Helm — one of three Carroll County men accused in the 2018 slaying of Christopher Alvard at his home near Eureka Springs — was the reason Helm’s trial on a first-degree murder charge was delayed last August, according to recent court filings.

The donations will allow various organizations to purchase necessary items for local families during hard times.

Trinity Christian Academy will hold a fundraiser auction beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at 601 S. Thorne St. in Green Forest. Montgomery Auction Service will serve as auctioneer. The concession stand will be open. Proceeds will be used toward the Regional Student Convention.
