Game night Friday at library
Calling all tween and teen gamers! Meet at the Berryville Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, for All-Screens Game Night. You will have two hours of free rein in the library to play any game that can be played on a screen! Guitar Hero will be on the Playstation, a Wii station will be set up, and all of the library computers will be available without limits on volume or laughter. This is an evening of fun teens and tweens won’t want to miss!

The new library building going up at 207 S. Springfield St. in Berryville is truly a labor of love. With no local tax money available to support construction, it was only with the overwhelming support from many individuals, families, and businesses in the community that the Friends of the Berryville Library, Inc. were able to raise enough to construct the new building. The push is now on to raise the remaining $300,000 needed to furnish the building.

Berryville Christmas festivities are ‘overwhelming success,’ city says
The City of Berryville said in a news release issued Monday, Dec. 8, that it was “proud to announce the overwhelming success of this year’s Christmas on the Square, annual Tree Lighting, and Christmas Parade held on Saturday.”

Friends of Library host annual bake sale Friday
The Friends of the Berryville Library will host their annual Christmas holiday bake sale beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, in the outer lobby of the library located at 104 Spring St. The bake sale will continue until 6 p.m. or until everything is gone.
