
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of my sweet, beloved mother, Betty Jeane (Deleo) Smith or “Betty Boop”. She was a resident at Blossoms of Berryville. She passed away December 1st at 85 years old.

Funeral services for Pauline Metz, age 91, of Branson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Mt. Olivet Freewill Baptist Church in Blue Eye with Rev. Larry Mc-Creary officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.

Sharon “Sherri” Darlene Marshall, born on September 9, 1946, has departed this earthly life, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. Berryville Fire Chief Shannon Chester has retired from his position after more than 30 years with the fire department and more than a decade as chief. Chester submitted his resignation, which was effective Oct.
Discount retailer TJ Maxx has leased space in the Berryville Center and plans to open a store there as early as September 2025, according to property owner Jeff Crockett. Crockett, who bought the shopping center in December 2023, said TJ Maxx has signed a 10-year lease with multiple options on the empty spaces formerly occupied by Cato’s, Cox Communications and Payless ShoeSource, as well as some additional space in the center.
Less than a week after Carroll County Judge David Writer signed a road use and maintenance agreement relating to a planned wind farm near Green Forest, a lawsuit was filed in Carroll County Circuit Court seeking a permanent injunction that would prevent the county from acting on the agreement.
