
Calvin Mace Mitchell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on February 17, 1939, in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. He grew up from age 6 in Green Forest, Arkansas, where his family moved in 1945.

The Berryville Bobcats remained winless in conference play with a 63-21 loss to Prairie Grove on Friday, Oct. 10, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some bright spots for the Bobcats.

Berryville earns statewide honors

The Berryville Lady Bobcats closed out their regular-season volleyball schedule last week, defeating Green Forest in three sets on Tuesday, Oct. 7, on Pink Out Night at Bobcat Gym before falling to Huntsville in three sets on Thursday, Oct. 9.

The Berryville Library will be celebrating its Friends of the Library group during the week of Oct. 19-25 as part of the 20th annual National Friends of Libraries Week.

Marianna Semenets was born February 22, 1992, in Volochysk, Ukraine to Igor and Angelica Vasiion. She passed away on September 30, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 33. She is survived by her husband, Dmytro (Dima) Semenets; her parents, Igor and Angelica; and brother, Eugene Vasiion, and the many who loved her.
