Governor has managed to make a mess

It’s difficult to imagine a more securely entrenched politician than Sarah Huckabee Sanders was less than three years ago. Sanders was sworn in as the governor of Arkansas on Jan. 10, 2023, after receiving more than 63 percent of the statewide vote in the November 2022 general election.

Calvin Mace Mitchell

Calvin Mace Mitchell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on February 17, 1939, in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. He grew up from age 6 in Green Forest, Arkansas, where his family moved in 1945.

Richard Glen Hostetler

Richard Glen Hostetler, beloved husband of Donna Marie (Kropf) Hostetler of Berryville, Arkansas, was born October 16, 1953, to Glen and Rosemary Hostetler at Princeton, Illinois. He peacefully passed away at his home in Berryville, Arkansas on October 14, 2025, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 28 days. Richard was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2020 from which he patiently suffered many complications and hospital stays. He was willing to accept whatever he was asked to go through and expressed himself as “waiting the call.”

Mary June (Quinn) Crane, aged 95, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Berryville, Arkansas. Mary June was born in Grandview, Arkansas on June 12, 1930 to John C. and Gertie (Wood) Quinn.
