The Green Forest Lady Tigers extended their solid start to the 2025-26 basketball season with a pair of victories last week.
Mayor Tim McKinney told the Berryville City Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2, that he and economic development director Dean Lee have been studying the possibility of requiring licenses for businesses operating in the city.

A special prosecutor has been appointed to decide whether charges should be filed against Eureka Springs City Council member Harry Meyer over allegations that he struck a neighbor with a vehicle during an incident in July.
The City of Berryville said in a news release issued Monday, Dec. 8, that it was “proud to announce the overwhelming success of this year’s Christmas on the Square, annual Tree Lighting, and Christmas Parade held on Saturday.”

Pet of the Week
The Friends of the Berryville Library will host their annual Christmas holiday bake sale beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, in the outer lobby of the library located at 104 Spring St. The bake sale will continue until 6 p.m. or until everything is gone.
