SENIOR CENTER MENUS

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. Please arrive earlier than noon for lunch. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $5. There is a $10 charge for those under 60 and $11 for all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Carroll County News publishes death notices at no charge to the family which includes the name, age, where they are from and date of death. Paid obituaries may be purchased by calling our office at (870) 423-6636. The price is $50.00 up to 300 words; $100.00 301-450 words; $150.00 for 451-600 words; $200.00 for 601-750 words; $250.00 for 750-2000 words. Paid obituaries include a picture.

Violet Prudie Simkins Youngblood Shaw

Violet Prudie Simkins Youngblood Shaw lovingly known as “Mutt”, from Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away at the age of 93 on December 25, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 4, 1932, to Everett and Louvene Williams Simkins, who owned a tomato factory in Lampe, Missouri. She retired from Harris Casino in North Kansas City. She spent her retirement years enjoying family get-togethers and peaceful days on and around Table Rock Lake.
