Cooper, Mercy Berryville bring orthopedic care closer to home
Residents in Berryville and throughout Carroll County now have improved access to orthopedic care, thanks to Dr. Scott Cooper’s decision to begin seeing patients at Mercy hospital in Berryville every Monday.

Interest in gardening surged during the pandemic as Arkansans flocked to the outdoors, and that interest doesn’t seem to be fading. The Arkansas Master Gardeners program, part of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, is the state’s largest horticulture volunteer and education organization. Each fall, the Carroll County Master Gardeners offer a 40-hour training course as a requirement to become a Carroll County Master Gardener. In-person Zoom training will be scheduled weekly from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for five weeks at the Carroll Electric community room. An online version of the training is also available.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. Please arrive earlier than noon for lunch. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is an $8 charge for those under 60 and $8.50 all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.
