Paid obituaries may be purchased by calling our office at (870) 423-6636. The price is $50.00 up to 300 words; $100.00 301-450 words and $150.00 for 451 words or more. Paid obituaries include a picture.

SENIOR CENTER MENUS

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. Please arrive earlier than noon for lunch. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is an $8 charge for those under 60 and $8.50 all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Robert Howard Hudgens, Jr.

Robert Howard (Hal) Hudgens Jr., age 57 of Berryville, Arkansas, died June 23, 2025. He was the son of Robert Howard Hudgens Sr. and Patricia Hudgens. He is survived by his wife, Laura Catherine Hanby Hudgens; his four children with their spouses, Robert Jackson (Jack) Hudgens and Allison Hudgens, Mary Michael Christopherson and Joseph Christopherson, Catherine Carter Hudgens, and John Chester (Chet) Hudgens; his grandchildren, Robert Cassidy Hudgens, John Carter Christopherson, and one who is on the way; his mother, Patty; his sisters, Holly Williams Friar and Heather Hudgens; and numerous other family members, all of whom loved Hal greatly and looked to him as the rock of the family.

Eveline Acuff Long

Evelina Acuff Long of Berryville was born January 21, 1927, in Tupelo Arkansas to Linsey and Easter (Jackson) Acuff. She died on June 5th, 2026, in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 98.
