Local students graduate from Arkansas Connections Academy

Eight students from Carroll County graduated from Arkansas Connections Academy on Saturday, May 31, at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock. The 701-student class eagerly moved their tassels from right to left as family and friends cheered them on. The graduating class collectively earned more than $410,000 in scholarships and awards. Graduates from Carroll County include Julianne Rudder, Reice Grogan, Hailey McCarty, Destiny Clark and Emma Coley.

Opera in the Ozarks celebrates 75 years, brand-new theater

Rooting for tourists in home state clothes

There’s a well-known Jerry Seinfeld bit where the comedian says it’s hard to justify loyalty to a particular sports team because players constantly change. In a monologue included in his television show, he said, “You’re actually rooting for the clothes. … You are standing and cheering and yelling for your clothes to beat the clothes from another city.”
