ES board freezes teacher salary schedule
The Eureka Springs School Board approved a LEARNS Act-influenced salary schedule at its regular meeting Monday, April 10. Superintendent Bryan Pruitt said the schedule will be frozen for now while the district adjusts to the mandated $50,000 starting salary for teachers.

Berryville HS Band completes competition season on a high note
The Berryville High School band recently participated in the state concert band competition sponsored by the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association and hosted by Cabot High School. The band qualified for the competition by earning a superior rating at the regional band competition held in March.

Berryville Library presents ‘Murder With a Local Twist’
Who doesn’t love curling up with a good mystery book full of plot twists that keeps you on the edge of your seat … or saddle? As part of a new series featuring local authors, the Friends of the Berryville Library will be hosting “Murder with a Local Twist,” celebrating local authors Jane Elzey (The Cardboard Cottage Mystery series) and Amber Camp (the Horse Rescue Mystery series). The free event will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Carroll Electric Community Room in Berryville.
