Griffin still eyeing building purchase

Carroll County Judge Ronda Griffin said Monday morning that she sees a path forward for the county to purchase the former AP&L building in Berryville, with a couple of caveats. The building will need to pass inspection, Griffin said, and the county will have to make certain that the warranty on a new roof on the building can be transferred to the county.

Editor files criminal complaint with prosecutor over alleged FOIA violation

Carroll County News Scott Loftis, managing editor for Carroll County Newspapers, lodged a formal criminal complaint with Carroll County prosecuting attorney Tony Rogers on Sept. 21, the day after the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission appeared to violate the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act by holding an executive session to discuss the parameters of its search for a new executive director.

It’s time to get away
