Local family donates to BV Library

St. John’s Properties in Chattanooga, Tenn., announced Monday, Aug. 1, that it will contribute $5,000 to the Berryville Library in memory of Dwane Usrey, a native of Green Forest. St. John’s Properties is owned by Usrey’s widow, Eddie Usrey, along with their daughter Angela Usrey, son Mitchel Usrey and son-in-law George Caudle.

Senior Center Menu

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Pet of the Week

This week’s Pet of the Week is Istredd. Istredd represents the dozens of kittens currently available for adoption or pre-adoption. Kitten season was strong this year and we have cute little fuzz buckets crawling out of our ears. Istredd, and their siblings, can be met at our adoption center on Highway 62, open daily from noon until 5 p.m. Submitted photo
