Sharon Ann Ary (Newberry), of Berryville, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2025. She passed away peacefully in Berryville at the age of 77.

Born on December 10, 1948, in Searcy, Arkansas, Sharon was the daughter of Jimmy Newberry and Lois Wallace. She grew up in Bald Knob, where she graduated from Bald Knob High School. During her high school years, she was a cheerleader and was honored as Homecoming Queen, a reflection of her vibrant spirit and the affection held for her by classmates and friends.

Sharon pursued higher education at Arkansas State Teachers College, now University of Central Arkansas (UCA) where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and met and married her husband, Gene, in 1969. Her marriage to Gene led her to settle in Berryville where her passion for learning and dedication to children led her to a fulfilling career in education. For 26 years, she served as an elementary school teacher, worked in various roles in a preschool setting and served on the local school board shaping young minds with patience and care. Her commitment to teaching left a lasting impact

She also leaves behind her brother, Rick Newberry; sister-inlaw, Nancy Newberry; and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Sharon found joy in spending time with family and carried herself with grace and warmth throughout all seasons of life. Sharon knew Jesus and lived with a quiet strength rooted in that relationship.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Newberry, and her mother, Lois Wallace.
