Ruby Joan (Wojcik) Heise of Green Forest, Arkansas was born May 8, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. the eldest daughter of Steve and Ruby (Snow) Wojcik. She passed away Friday, January 3 at Mercy Hospital in Berryville, Arkansas at the age of 90 years and 8 months, with her precious daughter by her side.
She was united in marriage to Edward L. Heise November 14, 1954. They enjoyed 47 wonderful loving years together. November 25, 1955 Ed and Joann became the proud parents of their only child, daughter, Debra L. (Heise) Ashby.
Joann dedicated her life to Jehovah God, May 12, 1962, where she served as a faithful Johovah’s Witness for 63 years. Joann was a unique feisty person who loved to tease and be teased. She also enjoyed reading, games, cards, traveling and collecting her beautiful pretties. But most of all she enjoyed being a wife and mother. Joann is survived by her daughter, Deb and son-in-law Woody Ashby. Sisters, Judy Warren (Herb), Kathy DeWeese (Tommy), Cheryl Cox (Alan) along with a host of friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Ruby Wojcik; husband, Ed L. Heise; sister, Myrna Micheletto; along with numerous other close relatives.
A memorial service will be held January 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 1405 N. Springfield St., Berryville, Arkansas with Jason Cox and Charles Oaks officiating. Zoom information is available on request. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
