Grandview 4-H is one of the many 4-H clubs around the world. In 4-H we do a lot of community service, but it is all the fun community service.
I enjoy all the exciting activities we do here at 4-H. I will name some of them. We went to a pool party at a local member’s house and we went to Roaring River. It was so kind of La La Lavender Farms to invite us to learn all about the lavender there.
Here are also some of the events and fundraisers held by 4-H. We had a wonderful pageant that all the girls enjoyed. We also did the poultry auction. Another thing to add to the list is that we go and decorate the nursing home windows. Which, if I am being honest, I think I enjoyed it more than they did.
Now, I am going to list some of the community service. My club bought all sorts of things for the Jeremiah Recovery House, we did a home cleanup and we went to Eureka Springs to walk dogs at a local shelter. I could name things all day, but you probably don’t have time for that.
I would also like to include that my 4-H club also shows chickens, cows, pigs, goats, sheep and maybe more. I don’t really know, maybe we show lizards nowadays.
We also have some young chefs who have wonderful culinary taste. Another thing we enjoy is O’rama here in our town. It is fun but still educational. I love 4-H and hope you will also. Thank you so much for your time. Happy National 4-H week.
