Missy Keya Howard, passed away at the age of 53 on September 5, 2025, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Born on November 29, 1971, in Berryville, Arkansas, Missy’s life was characterized by her love for nature, animals, and her endearing circle of friends and family.
Missy is survived by her two daughters, Chanda Shea Freeman and Courtney Flippo; grandkids, Cooper and Collin; brother, Cody Howard; along with her nephews, Kingston and Jasper Howard. Although her parents, Jimmy Howard and Deborah (Dooty) Howard, predeceased her, the values and lessons they imparted helped shape the extraordinary woman Missy was.
Missy’s love for gardening, whether she was picking flowers or wandering by the river, Missy’s connection to nature was profound and reflected in her actions and personality.
Friends who had the privilege of knowing Missy often spoke of her compassion towards every living creature she encountered.
