Maribeth Roberts Kimber

Maribeth Roberts Kimber, lovingly known as Beth, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, with her daughters and husband by her side.

Born on January 20, 1960, in Harrison, Arkansas, to a hardworking farming family, Beth developed a deep love for horses and a strong work ethic that defined her life.

In October of 2010, she married the love of her life, Dave Kimber. Together, they traveled the country working on the pipeline, sharing beautiful views and unforgettable memories.

Beth was a woman of many talents and an even bigger heart. She was known for her incredible sewing skills – creating pieces for friends, family, and many residents in rest homes. She loved crafting, gardening, and cooking for others.

Her greatest joy, however, was being “Memaw.” She adored her grandchildren – Carson and Claire Howle, Parker, Piper, Phorrest, and Prim Chaney – and took special pride in teaching them how to cook and do crafts, passing down her creativity, love, and life lessons with each moment they shared. Root beer floats and ice cream with Memaw were treasured times they’ll always remember.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, James and Billye Sue Roberts and her beloved son, James Elmore and nephew, Jacob Doss.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David Joseph Kimber; daughters, Buffy Jo and her husband Clinton Howle, and Phylicia and her husband William Chaney III; and her beloved grandchildren, also survived by Brittany Kimber Nunez and her husband Alejandro Nunez and their children Gianni and David Nunez, along with Jayme Kimber.

Beth worked as hard as any man and proudly passed that strength on to her family. She taught her daughters to be independent, strong, and to never shy away from hard work – a legacy they now live out in their own lives and families Her life was one of love, resilience, and generosity – a woman who gave endlessly and asked for little in return. She leaves behind a legacy stitched together with strength, kindness, and unwavering faith.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Rule Cemetery Fund, 1060 CR 802, Green Forest, AR 72638. Online condolences may be sent to nelsonfuneral. com
