Lorene Plumlee

Lorene Plumlee of Berryville, Arkansas was born November 12, 1934, in Carr Lane, Missouri to Denton and Clara (Pace) Swofford. Lorene passed away July 14, 2023, in Berryville at the age of 88.

She loved her kids and grandkids and was affectionally known as “Memaw” to them. Lorene enjoyed pets, flowers, gardening, being on the farm, sports and Nascar. She loved to go back roading with her kids. Lorene was very generous to her family. She was a loving and caring mother.

Lorene is survived by her daughters, Elaine Norris of Berryville, Shelley Plumlee and Gary Miller of Eureka Springs, Gwyn Plumlee and Rod Holman of Exeter, Missouri, Danette Youngblood and husband Keith of Berryville; grandchildren, Mickey Plumlee, Josh Plumlee, Christopher Plumlee, Kenton Plumlee, Tangie Plumlee, Shannon Plumlee, Damon Fuson, Amber Cole, Kadan Plumlee, Kaleb Youngblood, Jacob Youngblood; 10 great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; along with other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Denton and Clara Swofford; sons, Rick Plumlee, Bryan Plumlee; grandsons, Darren Plumlee, Richard Plumlee; sister, Bernice Standlee; brother, Harlan Swofford.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 17, 2023, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville, with Pastor Doby Williams officiating.
