In case you haven’t noticed, the newspaper is once again locally owned. Brave entrepreneurs have stepped forward and bought the Carroll County News.
My hopes of our local newspaper ever being owned by someone that actually lives here had died years ago. I couldn’t be happier than I am now to once again say our newspaper is locally owned.
Local ownership makes a huge difference. For example, local owners are fully aware of what benefits our community and how to better assist our merchants with advertising goals. They know what news is important to their area. Local ownership changes our newspaper back to what it used to be and that’s a very good thing.
I wish the owners the brightest future possible. I also hope everyone supports them because they are here to support us. Sincerely,
