The family of Linda Ann Holland Shaddox is saddened to announce her passing on December 30, 2024 in Athens, Texas, at the age of 82 years. Linda was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family. She set an example for all by leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and service.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Holland; by a brother, Jim Holland; and by her two children, Todd Shaddox and Suzanne Shaddox Moreland.

She leaves behind a brother, John Holland, of Berryville, Arkansas; a sister, Margaret Wentworth of Marcella, Arkansas; a brother-in-law, Richard Wentworth of Marcella, Arkansas; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Holland of Bentonville, Arkansas.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jessica Moreland of Athens, Texas; Matthew Moreland of Miami, Florida; Thomas Moreland of Athens, Texas; Julian Moreland of Athens, Texas; Britain Moreland of Athens, Texas; Collin Shaddox of Little Rock, Arkansas; Madison Shaddox of Cabot, Arkansas and Tyler Berry of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Additionally she leaves behind a great host of friends from all the towns where she lived in taught.

Linda received her teaching credentials from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. She will be remembered for her service to all her friends and family and for her service to her church and the Lord. During her 30 years of teaching first and second grade, she literally taught thousands of her students to read. Books had a very special meaning to her. In lieu of flowers, please donate a book to the library of your choice in her memory.
