Kenny McMullen

Kenny McMullen of Berryville, Ark. passed away peacefully at Berryville Mercy Hospital on April 3, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born Nov. 16, 1936, in Largo, Florida to Robert C. and Mary McMullen. He was the youngest of four children.

He joined the Army and served in Germany in 1955 for two years of service. In Germany, he helped engineer mobile bridges in the area.

Kenny and his father, Robert C., began farming cattle in Berryville in 1959. He enjoyed spending his days outside and admiring animals. Along with farming, Kenny was also an advanced carpenter and mechanic.

Kenny had various musical talents. He enjoyed playing acoustic guitar, banjo, electric bass, and the piano. With any spare time he had, he would be playing his guitar. He often played on the Berryville Square and across Carroll County with “Southern Zephyrs String Band”. Kenny also played the electric bass for the Cowboy Church, with his long long-time friend, Loree Blackburn.

On May 29, 1983 Kenny was united in marriage to Joyce Crow who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by one son, Robbie Mc Mullen and wife Heidi of Jacksonville, Florida; three step-daughters, Carla Vera and husband Steve of Bentonville, Carol Cobb and husband Gary of Monroe, Washington, Caren Phillips of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; step-son, Drew Wood and wife Katie of Berryville; sister, Dottie Bouchard of Dunedin, Florida; grandchildren, Spencer McMullen, Katie Tennis husband Jon, Chelsea Allen, Luke Vera wife Sophia, Hannah Needham, Hope Needham, Jonah Needham, Dakota Wood and Noah Wood; great-grandchildren, Kaia Tennis, Blaklie Allen, Boston Allen, Samantha Allen and Mila Vera; twins in heaven, Max and Marley.

Intimate graveside memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Berryville Memorial Cemetery.
