Karen Jean (Walker) Widner was born in Lampe, Missouri to Vernon and La-Donne (Yocum) Walker on May 29, 1958. She resided in numerous places throughout life, but always called Oak Grove home. She passed away on March 4, 2025, in Green Forest, Arkansas at the age of 66.

Karen loved the outdoors and being at the creek. She was a very strong-minded, independent, and a very opinionated person. She loved her family and friends tremendously and always put them first no matter what. Wherever she went she always seemed to make new friends and always enjoyed a good time and a good laugh. She was known as “mom” and “grandma” to many throughout the years and always put the “hip” in hippy.

Karen married to Roger Widner on June 3, 1977. She was a loving mother and grandmother and took great joy in spending time with her family, friends, and numerous loved ones. She is survived by her daughter, Shadi Widner of Oak Grove, Arkansas; son, Jessi Widner and wife Nikki of Green Forest, Arkansas; brothers, Richard Walker, Arlis Walker; and sister, Cheryl Masters. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jada Lowery, Bruce Widner and wife Shannin, Mikhail Fritz, Juniper Widner; great-granddaughter, M.J. Asbury along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends around the community.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Widner; parents, Vernon and Ladonne Walker; and brothers, Kenny Ralph and Johnny Walker.
