WeelborgKaren Irene Weelborg of Blair, Nebraska was born April 18, 1949, in Humphrey, Nebraska to Lysle and Irene (Hallgren) Barnes. Karen passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 74.
Karen enjoyed reading, cooking, family gatherings, especially around the holidays, and spending time with the grandkids.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Tamera Quick (Josh), Toni Ayodele (Temitope), and Tanya Wise (Richard); her sons, Tobias Weelborg, Terrance Weelborg (Loretta), and Tracy Weelborg (Heather); brother, Gale Barnes (Deanna); several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis James Weelborg; parents, Lysle and Irene Barnes; brother, Tom Barnes; and sister-inlaw, Linda Barnes.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Alpena Cemetery with Pastor Mike Bishop officiating.
