KennelleyJoanne Ruth Kennelley of Fayetteville, Arkansas was born on October 24, 1935, in Rockford, Illinois to Myron and Eunice Gerlick. Joanne passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 88.
Joanne was a devout Christian. Throughout her adult life she attended worship at the First Christian Church in Berryville, Arkansas and the First Christian Church of Rogers, Arkansas. Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family, participating in Bible studies, prayer groups and cooking meals for church members during times of illness. Joanne also enjoyed cooking lavish meals for her family, creating wonderful holiday celebrations, reading, sewing, and doing craft projects.
On April 15, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Hal Fredric Kennelley, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2023. She is also preceded by her parents, grandparents, five siblings and one granddaughter.
She is survived by her sister, Judy Hughes of Morrow, Arkansas; her children, Cathy Davis of Rogers, Arkansas, Mike Kennelley and his wife Mary of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Linda Cudney and her husband Charles of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Grandchildren, Kristie Davis Needham, Tameron Cudney Bishop, Paul Cudney, Nikki Kennelley Mulford, Kristin Kennelley Jones, Jennifer Kennelley Chandler, and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel (302 E. Madison Ave.) in Berryville, Arkansas.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to nelsonfuneral.com.
