Howard Lee Collins, age 84 of Green Forest, entered into eternal life with his Savior on February 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Howard was born April 26, 1940, in Green Forest, Arkansas to Henry and Ruth (Fultz) Collins. He attended one-room schools at both Conner and Rule and graduated from Green Forest High School in 1959. At the age of 16, upon the death of his dad, Howard worked with his mother on the family dairy farm and helped raise his four younger siblings. In November 1973, he gave his life to the Lord and on the 17th, he was baptized. On that evening, he proposed to the love of his life, Sharon Sue Williams and they were married on February 23, 1974. They built a beautiful dairy and cattle farm on the Osage Creek, south of Green Forest. In 1977, Carrie Elizabeth was born, and the family was named as the 1978 Carroll County and NW Arkansas District Farm Family of the Year. In 1980, Courtney Leigh was added to the family and Howard was named the Green Forest First Assembly of God Father of the Year. He was also active in his community, serving on the Carroll Boone Water District Board for over 10 years and the Rule Cemetery Association and the Farm Supply boards for many years. He loved fellowshipping with his church friends and attending Sunday School and Bible Study group at Grandview Baptist Church. Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his daughters, “the Joshes,” and four grandsons at their homes and school events, and especially making memories on the farm. He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Williams) Collins; his daughters: Carrie Siebert and husband Josh of Centerton, Arkansas, and Courtney Landreth and husband Josh of Springdale, Arkansas; grandsons: Collin Siebert, Hudson Landreth, Carter Siebert and Hayes Landreth; siblings: Sharon Stewart of Green Forest, Linda Norton and husband, Tom of Terrell, Texas, and Brenda Taylor and husband Bob of Green Forest; sister-in-law, Maxine Collins along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth Collins; sister, Ruby Snelson; brothers, Harold Collins and John Collins.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the many friends who have prayed and provided comforting kindness. The family appreciates and thanks the many doctors and nurses and Willard Walker Hospice Home who provided excellent care and compassion over the last few years.

Visitation will be 1:002:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025, at Grandview Baptist Church with the service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Rule Cemetery.
