Posted

Everett Lee Nordin, Jr., a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born March 22, 1945, in Mulberry, Arkansas, a son of Evertt Lee Nordin, Sr. and Mildred Louise (Cagle) Nordin. He departed this life December 24, 2025, at the age of 80 years.

He is survived by two brothers, Lanny Nordin of Sherwood, Arkansas and Danny Nordin and his wife, Cindy, of Stanley, Kansas; and one sister, Julie Nordin of Berryville, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

So many friends in Berryville knew and loved Junior. He played and coached thousands of softball games. He ran the rec center on the square for years where many of the young would hang out. He absolutely loved the Bobcats, Razorbacks and Chiefs. Being a mountain man suited Junior as he spent hours exploring the hills, rivers and lakes. He’ll be missed by a community, but his spirit will never leave his beloved Ozarks.

Junior’s family will forever be grateful for those who lovingly cared for him over these last few years. Regina Jeffrey, Dusty Grogan, Carrie Erwin, Kara Maybee, Holly Jackson, Rebekah Penney and Tony Pagano.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with graveside service following at 2:00 p.m. at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to nelsonfuneral.com.
