Elizabeth “MeMe” Ratli_, born in Toledo, Ohio on December 8, 1929, passed away March 5, 2023, the daughter of a Swiss immigrant, she spent her youth in Brandywine, Maryland with her older brother, Alfred and younger sister, Aileen.
She met her forever love, John Russell Ratli_, on a blind date. He was in the Air Force at the time. ey raised six children and traveled to places many only dream of. ey were married on June 25, 1948, for 65 years.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Holiday Island Baptist Church. In lieu of wers memorial donations be made to American Legion Post #9, c/o Charles Welch, 19 E. Center Road, Eureka Springs, AR 72632, or Holiday Island Baptist Church, P.O. Box 3129, Holiday Island, AR 72631. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
