Charlie Andrew Banaszek, of Eureka Springs, was born January 30, 1960, in Berwyn, Illinois, to David and Dorothy (Green) Banaszek. Charlie passed away on January 7, 2026, in Eureka Springs at the age of 65.
On February 17, 1979, Charlie was united in marriage to LeAnn (James) Banaszek, who survives him. Together they built a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and community. Charlie and LeAnn owned and operated The Inn Convenience Store for more than 12 years, where many locals came to know and appreciate his steady work ethic and friendly presence.
Charlie was a devoted father to his two children, Bradley Banaszek and Leslie Harrison. He was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, who became the greatest joy of his retirement and the center of many of his happiest moments.
Charlie was known as a hard worker who valued responsibility, perseverance, and providing for his family. He took pride in what he built and in the relationships, he formed along the way.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2026, at Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to nelsonfuneral.com.
