LinchCharlene Ann Linch (Mason) Meraz, was born January 3, 1949 in Phoenix, Arizona to Charles Joshua Mason and Mary Elizabeth (Linch) Mason.
Charlene passed away in her home in Berryville Arkansas on August, 11, 2024 at 1:28 a.m. in her home surrounded by her family.
Charlene is survived by her daughter, DeAnna Maria Wood; and her son, Jerome Michael Meraz. Her grandsons, Riley Dalton Wood and Dillon Shaine Wood; and her sister, Mary Elizabeth (Candy) McNabb.
Charlene is preceded in death by her father, Charles J. Mason and her mother, Mary Elizabeth (Linch) Mason.
Charlene had a beautiful singing voice and a quick dry wit which she used often. She was very artistic. Most of the art projects she chose utilized small, intricate detailed work. She was an avid reader, had a deep interest in ancestry research.
One of the funniest memories is having gone to Florida on vacation, they forgot sunscreen. At the end of one day on the beach, they all were sunburnt a very bright shade of red. At dinner time, they went to Red Lobster for dinner. When she received her lobster, she was the same shade of red as the Lobster she had just received.
Services will be held at the Carroll Electric facility on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Food will be provided after the celebration of life. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
