The Berryville High School baseball team returned to action last week, dropping three games. Berryville lost to Farmington 15-0 in five innings Monday, March 27.
A single goal made the difference on Monday, March 13, as the Green Forest Lady Tigers defeated the Berryville Lady Bobcats 1-0 at the Berryville Sports Complex. Kayla Lozano scored the game winner for the Lady Tigers in the matchup of Carroll County rivals.
A big third inning powered the Berryville Lady Bobcats to a 13-3 victory over Green Forest in high school softball action Tuesday, March 14, at the Berryville Sports Complex. Berryville scored six runs in the bottom of the third to open up a 9-1 lead over the Lady Tigers.
The Green Forest Tigers dropped a doubleheader to West Fork on Monday, March 13, losing the opener 19-1 and the nightcap 11-0. But Green Forest coach Brandon Stone said the second game was much more competitive than the final score would indicate.

The Green Forest softball team lost a doubleheader to Flippin on Monday, March 6, by scores of 20-6 and 13-3. Bella Phillips and Brinley Bishop each had two hits for Green Forest in the first game, while Alyvia Newboles drove in two runs for the Lady Tigers.
Three Berryville High School seniors received some postseason accolades on Monday, capping off their high school basketball careers. Berryville coach Brent Compton said senior Jake Wilson earned all-state honors and also was named to the 4A-1 all-conference team along with classmates Nate Allen and D.J.
Based simply on the final score, the Berryville Bobcats’ 7-2 loss to Bentonville on Tuesday, March 7, might seem like a blowout. But Berryville coach Grant Hutson said the Bobcats didn’t play poorly after they shook off a slow start against a Class 6A opponent.
Anytime Mason Meador is on the pitching mound for the Green Forest Tigers, coach Brandon Stone feels pretty good about his team’s chances to win. “That’s our biggest strength,” Stone said.
