Mary Ann McBryde of Huntsville, Ark. was born Sept. 11, 1947, in Arkadelphia, Ark. to Willis and Ollie (Green) Simpson. Mary passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Eureka Spring, Ark., at the age of 74.

John B. Butler of Eureka Springs, Ark. was born Jan. 2, 1957, in Wichita, Kan. to John Thomas and Roberta Irene (Roberts) Butler. John passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at his home in Eureka Springs, at the age of 65.

Matthew Jay Hausman of Green Forest, Ark. was born Sept. 22, 2003, in Green Forest, Ark. to Daniel Hausman and Laura Lucille (Walker) Cisco. Matthew passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, in Berryville, at the age of 18.

The Matriarch of our family passed away Saturday morning, April 30, 2022, at age 90. Billie Mack (Callen) Shaffer was born July 29, 1931, in Eureka Springs, Ark. to Caron Delet Herring Callen and Fleman Mack Callen. They lived on a farm southeast of Blue Eye until 1938 when her folks built a home/store in town on the Missouri side of the state line. She started to school at Blue Eye R-V and graduated in 1950. Billie attended SMSU for a year and went to work in Springfield, until she met her lifemate in Branson on July 4, 1955. They married July 30, 1955.

Bobby Murphy of Berryville, Ark. was born Jan.

Ruby Mae Parks, age 99, of Green Forest passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at Harrison, Ark. She was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Doyle, Tenn., daughter of Ezra and Viola (Reavis) Barger. Her family included 10 children.

Philip James Hall, age 75, of Holiday Island, Ark., passed away at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. Son of Frank and Ida (Warren) Hall, Philip was born on Sept. 3, 1946, in San Bernadino, Calif. Philip was raised in Fair Oaks, Calif.

William Franklin Smith, 70, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2022, in Berryville, Ark. He was a man with many nicknames.
