Born on Aug. 25, 1931, in Carrollton, Arkansas to Joe and Stella Fultz Davis (deceased). Joyce spent her formative years in Alpena and Urbanette, Arkansas. Growing up during the Depression Era was difficult, the Davis Family managed to scrape out a living in the hills of Carroll County.
