Rodney Ballance, the Berryville businessman who had announced his intention to run for the District 6 seat in the Arkansas House of Representatives

Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Hallie Shoffner and Ethan Dunbar will speak at the Carroll County Democrats’ membership meeting Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Carroll Electric Community Room in Berryville.

The party filing period for the March 2026 preferential primary, nonpartisan judicial and school board elections began Monday, Nov. 3 and will continue through noon Wednesday, Nov. 12, for partisan candidates and 3 p.m. the same day for independent and school candidates.

The Carroll County Quorum Court Budget Committee has completed work on the county’s 2026 operating budget, committee chair Craig Hicks said last week.
