ServSafe training offered Aug. 11

A ServSafe Certified Food Manager Course will be offered at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at 9 a.m. at the Cattlemen’s Building at the Carroll County Fairgrounds. The course will cost $140 for new managers, which includes book, class and exam, and $60 for re-certifications, which includes class and exam. Participants who pass the exam will receive a ServSafe Food Manager Certification good for five years. All participants must pre-register and pay by Tuesday, Aug. 5. Class size is limited. Once the Servsafe books are distributed, they are non-refundable.

Aug. 12 event to focus on scams

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Berryville Community Center and the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office will host a free presentation titled: “Raising Awareness of Common Scams and Internet Safety” at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the community center at 601 Dr. Spurlin Circle in Berryville.

SENIOR CENTER MENUS

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. Please arrive earlier than noon for lunch.
