Cindy Inman, senior vice president and CS Home Mortgage Division manager for CS Bank, has announced the hiring of Sheila Calvillo as home mortgage lender for the local bank’s Berryville office. Calvillo is a native of Berryville, where she lives with her husband and their two daughters.

Eureka Springs Hospital is offering outpatient speech therapy for adults. Speech therapy helps people who have communication difficulties, cognitive deficits and swallowing disorders.

A fundraiser for the Flint Street food bank was held June 10 at the Ozark Mountain Hoedown in Eureka Springs. The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.

June kicked off the Berryville Library’s 25,000 Leagues Under the Sea Summer Reading Program. This year, a local family has agreed to donate $1 for each hour read up to $25,000.
