Green Forest board approves personnel moves

The Green Forest School board met for a special business meeting on June 2 and used the opportunity to deal with a number of personnel matters as well as approve the purchase of new cafeteria tables. Before meeting in an executive session, the board approved the purchase of 40 new tables for approximately $75,000 from Palmer Hamilton LLC, a furniture manufacturer based in Elkhorn, Wis., in addition to hearing the first read on a number of newly received policies.

State Supreme Court dismisses dispensary applicant’s lawsuit

The Arkansas Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a Eureka Springs company that argued it was improperly denied a license to operate a medical marijuana dispensary. Carroll County Holdings Inc., doing business as Eureka Green, filed suit in June 2020 against the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division and the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission.
