Green Forest School District Superintendent Matt Summers said Jan. 9 that a Green Forest teacher had been “suspended from all contratual obligations.” Summers’ comment was misquoted in reports in the Jan.

The Berryville City Council needed less than 10 minutes to move through its agenda at a regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Despite having supporting funds from the Eureka Springs City Council and the City Advertising and Promotion Commission already promised, it still took a lengthy discussion at their regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17 before parks and recreation commissioners approved a contract for a fireworks display this year at Lake Leatherwood Park.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is serv-d at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

The Carroll County Quorum Court voted 10-0 at its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17, to appropriate $33,000 for renovation of the county’s Search and Rescue building.
