Green Forest has a new mayor. Sort of.

Senior centers across Northwest Arkansas — including the Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Berryville — are at risk of closure, according to Our Healthy Communities Inc., the Rogers- based nonprofit that oversees the centers.

Employees in the Green Forest School District received some extra money in their bank accounts last week.

The American Banker, the award-winning national monthly publication, named CS Bank as a 2025 Best Bank to Work for in America recipient.

The Annual Meeting of the Carroll County Fair Association will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Carroll County Fairgrounds located at 104 County Road 401 in Berryville. Students who are Hispanic or Latino made up nearly 30 percent of the population in the Berryville School District last school year, according to numbers recently released by the district.

A Berryville school bus was stolen by a former student on Wednesday, Nov. 19, leading police on a chase throughout the city.
