The Eureka Springs Community Center, located at 44 Kingshighway, will host its second annual Wellness Fair and Open House from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov.

ONGOING Library seeking books In preparation for their fall book sale, the Friends of the Eureka Springs Carnegie Library are asking for donations of gently used books. Donations can be brought to the library annex media center during library operating hours.

The Eureka Springs Library is putting a $92,000 grant it received over the summer to good use. The library received a grant from the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program last year to have a full conservation assessment performed on the original historic Carnegie Library and the Library Annex buildings.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.

The Carroll County Office of Emergency Management announced Friday afternoon, Oct. 28, that the body of a 59-year-old fisherman from Green Forest had been recovered from the Long Creek area of Table Rock Lake, one week after family members called 911 to report him missing from the lake near Enon.
