Awana Grand Prix
Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Berryville held its 22nd annual AWANA Pinewood Derby Grand Prix race on April 9. There were many in attendance as the kids raced their hand-crafted cars. The church’s fellowship hall was transformed into a raceway with a track, tires, banners and race-related items throughout. Kindergartners through sixth-graders competed in the event as many more watched. Building a custom car out of wood is very rewarding whether going for the fastest car or for the best in design, and all participants were winners. (Submitted photos)
